How it works

Four steps. Zero swiping.

We do the matchmaking, the booking and the awkward first hello. You just show up hungry.

  1. Tap through onboarding

    About a minute of quick, playful questions. No photos to agonise over, no bio to write.

  2. We set the table

    We seat you with five others (three women, three men) who share your wavelength and your stage of life.

  3. Show up. We host.

    The restaurant is revealed the morning of. A Lado host handles introductions and keeps the conversation flowing.

  4. The mutual reveal

    Next day, privately pick who you’d like to see again. If it’s mutual, we introduce you. If not, no one ever knows.

A table for six, set just for you.

Thursdays and Saturdays at independent restaurants across the GTA. Three women, three men, one host and a menu worth lingering over. You order à la carte and stay as long as the conversation does.

Who is Lado for?

Single, curious, kind people roughly 28–40 who live in or near Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington or Hamilton and would rather meet in person than message for weeks. Every member is reviewed before their first table.

How do you decide who’s at my table?

Your onboarding answers (what you’re looking for, a few this-or-that picks and the experiences you enjoy) plus your age range, city and availability. Each dinner is balanced at three women and three men, and we avoid seating people together twice.

How does the mutual-match reveal work?

The morning after, you’ll get a private list of your tablemates. Choose anyone you’d like to see again, romantically or as a friend. We only share contact details when the choice is mutual.

What if I don’t click with anyone?

Then you had a great dinner with interesting people, which is more than most first dates offer. Your next table is always a fresh mix.

Is food included?

Your seat covers matching, the reservation and your host. You order and pay for food and drinks at the restaurant. Experiences include materials and equipment.

Are the restaurants on your events page partners?

Not yet. They’re real, well-loved places we’re planning our first tables around. Join the waitlist and we’ll invite you as dates are confirmed.

How do you keep it safe and comfortable?

Everyone applies and is reviewed, evenings happen in public venues with a host present, and every member agrees to our code of conduct. You can flag anything privately after any event.
